terp and the kiddos out in villa rica last night. after i went to sleep (8:30p) i got a call. ava was crying and wanted me to check on cloud, her blabla doll. i told her i'd let cloud sleep in my bed. and that made ava feel a lot better. i heard some giggles as she played with emme and then i told her good night and i love you. too sweet!

ava, emme and i were in the kitchen. i had gotten snacks for both of them. emme said she wanted "wa wa." ava grabs the sippy cup, fills it up, screws on the top, checks it to make sure it won't leak and hands it to emme. i was very impressed!

we finished ava's first take home assignment... the scarecrow! a big outline that we had to decorate. we used glue, dirt, leaves, straw, buttons, crayons, glitter paint and a bunch of other stuff!

ava walked me up and down terp's blog today. she showed me a picture that popped up in a window, described it and then closed that window. she used the mouse scroll wheel to search the blog up and down to find another picture she wanted to look at. "wait, goo, there's something else." a couple times she right-clicked. in recent weeks the context menu that came up stumped her. today she just left-clicked somewhere else on the page and continued. she knows three ways to open up her dora the explorer game. it's amazing watching her skills develop. it was so enjoyable getting a blog tour from my daughter!

Teaching Aves about opening and closing windows. She loves clicking on pictures from joereger.com but in the past she had to ask one of us to close the picture popup. Tonight I taught her to click the little red X to close the popup window. She's a surfing maniac now!

Aves broke one of my computers today. She was really embarrassed and ashamed when I found it. She hid and said "go away goodah" and "stop talking." Interesting to see a toddler's emotions developing. And even more interesting is seeing her attempts to handle those emotions. For my part I felt horrible that I made her feel bad. But I do think she needs to understand the repercussions of her actions. Within a few minutes she was back to normal and we were playing. But I still feel bad and keep telling her that she's a good ava and that I love her.

Emme had her checkup and doc says everything's looking good. She grey two inches in the last three months which puts her on the growth curve map. She's still small but doc says it's nothing to worry about.

Ava's eye was swollen shut this morning. "I can't open my eye," she said. Mom cleaned it out with a wet washcloth and it's at least opening now. Poor little one. She seems upbeat about the whole thing.

Aves, Emme and Terp are up! I gave them my travelin' presents from Fredericksburg, TX. Aves likes Groovy Girl and her chair. Ems likes her Big Rex floppy book. Terp likes her Ugly Dog and butterfly canvas prints.
